If you google Chasers Salem NH sold, and Boston Billiard Nashua sold, you will find articles about them being sold to Churchill Downs and Delaware North. There's a couple of people on this forum who know a lot more about the NH Casino business model than I do. The state of NH does skim 10% off the top, for themselves. Delaware North (Jacobs family) owner of the Boston Bruins and dozens of other things, just bought the Boston Billiard Casino in Nashua (deal hasn't fully closed yet) and Chuchill Downs just bought the Chasers Poker Room and Casino in Salem NH (deal hasn't fully closed yet) so you know there's big fat profits to be had. Charities don't even bother to 'sign-up' for the slower days ( mon tues wed thurs) in the smaller venues. I've heard the rent was in excess of $800 a night. The Casinos charge the charities 'rent' each night for their 35% of the rake.
